Griffith Observatory

From the last posting, I mentioned Lyssa was here. Ben found he could take all his classes on-line so drove down. It's been fun having them here. They leave Tuesday (sad sad) We decided to go to Griffith Observatory on Sat. Ben was with his dad for the day. We have lived here since 1984 and have never been to the Observatory. It was cool. You have to shuttle from the LA zoo parking to the observatory, which is a pain (hot & crowded). The planetarium show was interesting showing the theories on the universe. We found it interesting. However, the guy next to Lyssa must have been bored or tired because he was snoring REALLY loud. His wife kept hitting him but it only helped for a few minutes.

Jarrod thinking with Albert Einstein.

It was a real pretty day. What we didn't take pictures of was the hills to the north. A far came through the park a few months ago, coming close to the observatory. What bush was left was charcoal.

Today, Ben's family (minus his mom and a sister) came by for dinner. Nice to see them. We used the misting system on the patio. It made it worked to keep it cooler. Yes, Nathan,it is amazing but.....I didn't take any pictures. You'll just have to use your imagination.
