2010 Blog wrap-up

This blog is a summary of our year. All of our children and grandchildren live within 3.5 miles. Having them at the house regularly is a frequent blessing. It's like having Thanksgiving several times a month. It's a rare day we don't see at least some of them. As the kids lives are still in transition, we are not sure how long this will last. We will just continue to enjoy it while it does.

Rick

• Working for HCP Medical Group and is Physical Facilities Rep for 3 church buildings

Sue

• Special Ed aid for preschoolers and is Stake Young Women's President.
  

Nathan, Jen, Katelynn, Tyler

• Nathan passed his CPA exams and is working for KPMG

Josh, Hayley, Channing

• Josh is in his last semester of the MBA program at California Stake University - Fullerton

Alyssa, Ben, Bella

• Ben is finishing his nursing pre-requisites and Alyssa is a nanny of 2 young girls.

Jarrod

• Senior in High School, working at a dental office, taking AP Physics getting straight "A"s

Christmas Celebration

We have a family of tradition of building Gingerbread houses. We are continuing this with the grandchildren.


Much of the fun in making them is eating them as you make them.
Another tradition has been to enact the First Christmas. Photos just don't describe how cute they are.

Thanksgiving UT vacation

We went to Utah for Thanksgiving.

For Jarrod's birthday, we went to a fun park. Go-carts, miniture golf, lazer tab. It's a guys thing.

Zion's and Utah trip

In Mid August, we took a vacation to Utah where Sue's niece got married. On the way to Salt Lake, we stopped to hike in Zion's National Park.


If you look closely, you will see a small waterfall in the background. Really more of a trickle.The wedding reception turned out to be a mini reunion for Sue's family. This is her (seated left to right) her Aunt Alice, Larry and Cheryl Davis (sister), and (standing) Uncle Wayne with wife Chris, Dad, Julie, Uncle Gene and Sue.
Also cousin Norlene on left.
Five of seven sibling were able to attend.
