Trip to St. George
In January, we meet Dad and Nancy in St. George for a few days. Rick, Jarrod and a friend (Adam) went hiking in the local mountains. Beautiful country, even in January.

Stagnant Blog
Now that all our children and grandchildren are living in the area, we have not been posting to the family blog site. We aren't aware that anyone else has been following it. If there is interest, we can continue to add blogs. Let us know.

November
As mentioned in the previous blog, we have all the kids over on Sunday's. It's fun, even while eating, to have them here.
November was the birthday of Nathan and Joshua. We celebrated their birthdays together.

We had a friend help us take some family photos in the back yard. We took over 300 photos. (You have to love digital) These were the best.

Aren't they cute??!!

The group photo was a challenge. Of the 115 group shots, none came out with everyone right. This was the best one.
But with Photoshop, we were able to make it better.

October Activities
We've been bad in posting on our blog. This is the catch-up for October. Jarrod attended 2 Homecoming dances. He went to his and Christy's, the girl he is dating.

He also had his 17th birthday.
Now that all the kids live close (within 5 miles) we see them often. They all come almost every Sunday after church. It's a big change from the quite Sunday afternoons with only Rick, Sue and Jarrod, but great to have them here. When the three baby's are out of their high-chairs (not able to be seen in the photo), may need to eat a 2 tables.
Halloween with young children is exciting. Cutting pumpkins and going door to door was fun. But it was really fun not being their parents for the next few days as they bounced off the walls from the extra sugar.

Bees, Channing & Steve
In September, we were told by our neighbors we had bees in the wall behind the garage. We hired an exterminator to irradiate them. We found the don't want to catch them because of the Africanized bees in the area. They came and sprayed. They said they would be gone in 5 days. They weren't. They came again. They sprayed again. This is what we found when we pulled off the siding. They don't look very gone to us!!! They company wanted an additional $250 to come out. We fixed it with a heavy overalls, gloves, mosquito netting over a hat and a $4 can of hornet spray from Home Depot. Could have saved $150 had we due it ourselves in the first place. No one was stung!! Anyone know how long it takes for them to make a 4 foot high hive?
A photo of Channing in grandma's arms.

Steve and his family came to visit. Jarrod was happy to find that he is as tall as Steve. Very soon he my be the tallest Wilbur!

Tyler at dinner
Katelynn and Bella enjoying the Preschool computer game. We need to work on their ergonomics.
Grandma holding Channing. She loves holding grandkids.

Labor Day and kids
On Labor Day, we enjoyed a picnic at a park with friends. All the kids were able to come.
Beautiful photo of Kate at the playground.

Bella enjoyed the scooter.
Alyssa, Ben and Bella.
Hayley with Channing wrapped snug.

Josh enjoying the eats.
Rick getting a chance to hold Channing.
Jarrod getting his food. We had several Dutch Ovens. BBQ Boneless ribs, BBQ chicken and BBQ Johnnie Cake with potatoes (with and without onions). Dessert was peach and cherry cobbles. Not good for a diet but really good.
The following week, the families were at the house. It was hard to get a good photo of them on the couch together. This was as good as it got.
This was numbers 2 with Tyler upset with Bella stealing this string as Channing looks on.
Bella enjoys her food.
Alyssa gives good wagon rides.

Tyler enjoyed the scooter. Sue's back didn't.

One of those special Grandmother moments.
