Jarrod's play

Jarrod was in his middle school's play of "Mid Summer's Night Dream". He played Philostrate. He didn't have many lines but was clear and articulate with those he did.

Our "little" boy ain't so little anymore. Or is mom shrinking?

Weekend with the boys

All the boys were together for a short time. This was at Balboa in Newport Beach. We had dinner at BJs. Nathan makes a good tourist in the background.

She's walking! It was great to have Nathan, Jennifer and Katelynn here for a time. Check out Nathan's blog for more pictures and info on his trip.

Josh & Hayley's Open House

Josh & Hayley had the California Open house tonight. It turned out well. A few near disasters - Shell shapes fruit bowls broken and the punch fountain pump didn't work. But quick run to the store in time and with a backup fountain, it came off without a hitch. Josh & Hayley looked great. A big thanks to all that helped.

The food was great. Hard to see what it was from the photo. Punch and water on the left. On the right are fresh grapes, pineapple and strawberries. Also dessert trays for chocolate covered strawberries, eclairs, truffels... from Rockwell's.

The Tiki touches lined the driveway and backyard. Hard to see but we set up the luncheon video and wedding video (see previous posting) so people could watch it by the gate.

Josh & Hayley's wedding video

Rick Christensen put this video together for them. It is too long to put on YouTube so I had to cut it into 3 smaller ones.

Josh & Hayley's wedding

Josh & Hayley were married on April 28, 2007. While we were waiting for them to exit the temple. One of the twelve apostles, Elder Nelson, was on the grounds for another wedding. We are able to have Jarrod and Alyssa pose with him.

Here is the special couple leaving the temple. There was a professional photographer taking pictures. These are from the family camera. Better photos should be posted once we receive them.

Sue's dad performed the marriage. Her sister, Cheryl, and brother, Craig, were able to attend.

All the family!

The Goddards

Rick & Sue's Family. It was nat time for Katelynn. She'd had it.

The extended Family. Sorry Alyssa. We hope the professional one shows you better.

We hosted a luncheon after the wedding at Christopher's in Salt Lake.

Click the picture to view the luncheon video. (Sorry about the picture shown. The YouTube program selects it from the video. It's Josh, in the middle, and his priest quorum after scaring a bear out of the tree that had their food while backpacking at Mammoth)

That evening, the Goddard's had an open house at their home for the new couple.

Ben, Jarrod, Nathan (Corrected, see comment below - I was socializing inside when the deed was done. Sorry ) and Hayley's brothers decorated the car. Notice the Oreo's in heart shape on the windows. The diaper on the windshield was also a nice touch. The whipcream in the door handle was a bit much. Whipcream is better than shaving cream. Shaving cream can destroy the paint.

Alyssa's Birthday

We were in Utah for Josh and Hayley's wedding at the same time of Alyssa's birthday. Since the official day was a bad day to celebrate due to the wedding, we went out to eat on Thursday night. It's a China Buffet Alyssa likes. You can see that she really likes the Blue Tooth earpiece. It's in the photos of Alyssa and Ben for the next few days.

House is ready - almost

Most of what we want to have done for the open house is almost done. Just a few minor things and cleanup left to do before the big day.

We've only lived here since 1991 with no shades on the kitchen or dining room. NOW mom thinks we need privacy. Go figure!!

The door is almost done. The strip across the top is in the garage, painted, and now just needs to be nailed on. This picture doesn't show the beauty of the leaded glass look very well. This project was much more work than expected, but it all turned out nice.
