Kate at the park

We took Kate to a park near their home. It had a playground and fishing pond.

Even Sue rode to toys.

We could see the fish in the water.
There next were just too cute to not include.

We included this as a science demonstration on static electricity. You will notice Kate's hair is going wild. It's not the wind. It was the static from the slide.

It was a great time together.

Grandkids in UT - Day 2

As mentioned in the previous blog, there were too many cute photos not to post. This is Tyler. He was born on 9/4 but due on the 23rd. So when we visited him, it was at the time he would have been born. He is a little guy.

Bella is starting to laugh and smile for Alyssa

Tyler was still quite jaundice looking. We put him in the sun while there. In the photo, you can see his head is still yellow but his torso and legs are normal.
Lyssa and Bella

Katelynn loves to go to the zoo to see the ducks. There is a dispenser to buy food to feed the ducks. This requires dimes. She loves to carry the dimes in her pocket and put them in the machine. She's not really excited about feeding the ducks.

This is grandma's fault. She brought Katelynn the Minnie ears and the sucker.

Grandkids in UT - Day 1

Nathan and Jennifer had Tyler Nathan WILBUR on September 4th. Diane, Jennifer's mother, went to help when the baby was born. She left on the 23rd. We drove to Utah and were in Logan on the 24th.

One of the problems with taking digital pictures is there are so many cute ones, it's hard to decide which to post. During the time we were there, we took several hundred pictures. These photos are the finalists.

This is a happy grandma holding Katelynn.

On our way to Logan, we had Alyssa and Bella come with us to Logan. Unfortunately, Ben had to work. We were thankful to him for letting them come for the 2 days. Bella is now 7 weeks.

One cute 2 year old!
Another one of grandma holding a baby. She loves kids. This is her holding Tyler. Even though 3 weeks old, he enjoyed her holding him. She could calm him down when upset - usually after Rick was holding him.
Rick must not have been holding Tyler - he's quiet.
Cute pose of Bella sleeping.

The 3 grandkids togther. Tyler was still quite yellow.
Nate and Jen's apartment is across from a zoo and next to 3 parks within walking distance. Kate goes to the park and/or zoo every night. This is Kate getting help from dad on the stairs. Actually, it's more dad making sure she doesn't fall.

This was the first day. More posts of this trip to come.

Jarrod is an Eagle

Jarrod had his Eagle Court of Honor on Saturday, Sep. 20th. It was a combined ceremony with 2 of his good friends.

Sue ordered the cake. She was very happy, not from the cake, but to see her last son as a Eagle Scout.

The happy moms. Many of Jarrod's friends from school attended and supported him.
Warren and Ann. Warren has been very instrumental in helping all three of our sons to be eagle scouts.

Jarrod's Eagle

Jarrod had his Eagle board of review on Sunday. He must wait for approval from national but it's basically a formality. His Court of Honor will be with two others in his troop.
This was the board.

His Varsity advisor.

We look a little tired. The board of reviewed was combined with another young man. We were there for 2 1/2 hours. We are proud of him.

Nathan/Jen's baby BOY

Nathan and Jennifer had their baby yesterday, Sept 4th at 2:51pm MST in Logan, UT. He was 6 pounds and 18.5 inches. Both mom and baby are great. Dad too. There will be more photos to come. Nathan's blog will have more, once things settle down.
